It took only a week for one of my 2026 predictions to likely pan out -- military contractors are likely heading into a good year for the war business.

“During the decade of [Iraqi] war, the Pentagon had forked over to the top 37 fraudulent corporations alone $1.1 trillion.”

It took only a week or one of my predictions about 2026 to likely come to fruition. In last week’s blog, I gave ten predictions about the coming year. Number 7 was as follows: “Defense contractors with cost reimbursement contracts and pricing power will continue to see heavy demand for equipment and services and will prosper.” See The Future Is Now: Here Are Some Government Contracts Predictions For the Next Year — Abrahams Wolf-Rodda, LLC.

Today I note the seizure or Mr. Maduro, the apparent operational success of the Venezuela military action at least to date, and Mr. Trump’s expressed intent to increase the annual budget defense military spending to 1.5 trillion dollars. If that doesn’t benefit big defense contractors, I will be dumbfounded. So as, I said, at least one corner of government contracting — military equipment suppliers — is likely to prosper in 2026.

One prediction down. Nine or so more to go.
